we return!!

Today we arrived back in Tucson after spending a wonderful few days in Ohio vistiting Bryans family. It was so nice to see everyone and im sure Sam loved the attention. He was SO good on the flights too. On the way there the people behind us asked (as we were getting off the plane) 'Have you had the baby with you for the whole flight?' they were amazed that even they hadnt heard him! What a good baby we have!! The photos show Sam and Daddy relaxing on the flight home. We were lucky in that the flight was only half full so Sam got his own seat after a very nice man moved!!

Daddys post

Sophie loves to take pictures of samuel after his feeding's and in this picture here we have baby samuel studing his spoon as he just finished eatting prunes like he doesn't poop enough already Sam has been learning how to use them as of late.
Happy Samuel
Well this morning I woke up and baby sam had shrunk daddy's glass's to fit and put them on so I took a picture or two.

Sam has a passion for playing with anything he is not supposed to play with. Toys dont hold much appeal for him. He prefers cardboard, paper, bottles and most of all, mummys bracelet! We had just got up this morning and he was sitting there talking to it, so i thought I'd attempt to catch him on film. He has also worked out how to get out of the chair he is in in this clip. Yesterday we found him upside down, head on the floor, legs still in the chair. He didnt seem to mind though and wasn't even crying (strange child!)

Another video, this time of Sam laughing. Unfortunately Daddy arrived just to catch the tail end of Sams 'belly laughs'. It is so funny to watch him. Im somewhat worried about his sense of humour though haha!!

we're in..

woohoo we finally have a house and a proper internet connection. No more waiting 7 years for 1 page to load, or 11 years to upload a photo! We moved in on Tuesday (12th ?) and we're just trying to sort stuff out. We're down to the last few boxes and are awaiting delivery of our new sofa and washing machine!! THEN it might feel more 'homely'. Sam has been a star through out. He is someone for me to chat to as I unpack boxes during the day. Although the conversation always seems a little one sided! Actually, Sam had his very 1st cold this week. On Wednesday night he barely slept at all, waking every hour. It was bloody hard work. I would just drift off again and then it would be up getting Calpol, tissues, giving cuddles, feeding. He was NOT a happy boy. By Thursday afternoon I realized why, there was snot a plenty and he wasnt himself! It seems to have passed quite quickly and yesterday (Friday) he seemed almost back to his old self (with a few added coughs). Sam has made a little friend now, I met a nice girl named Nellie who happens to have a little boy just a couple of months older than Sam, we went to her house on Thursday and Sam enjoyed looking at Michael, which I think is as far as his 'playing with other children' goes at the moment!!

The photo shows Sam and Daddy in bed. I just took a few minutes ago. Sam tends to come into our bed after his early morning feed (usually 5-6am) and he takes up all the room and poor mummy has to squish on the side and try not to fall out as Sam and Daddy relax with room a-plenty! MEN!!!

08/08/08

I haven't posted for a while as our internet connection here in the base hotel is slower than slow! We move into our house on Tuesday though, so things should be MUCH easier then! Here is Sam and I today. We went out to a Steakhouse for tea and it was really lovely! we then browsed the shops near by and found a great toy shop. A little independent shop (rare here) and it was full to bursting of goodies, including a funny hat selection. Sam picked this one (ok...I did!) and it looked so beautiful! I am going to have to take him back there when he is a bit older as there were loads of great things, including a wand selection (Harry Potter). Other than that things have been 'same old' here, hot, hot, hot and Sam and I just playing at home, singing, doing our signing and just generally doing dull things.

Its August

How this year is flying by and how my life has changed. Its really quite amazing. Sam will be 6 months old this month. He is such a wonderful little boy, I could easily spend every waking minute with him, he really is an amazing child. He has a smile for everyone , an infectious laugh, and he is more gorgeous than I can manage to comprehend. He hasnt complained at all in this blistering heat. Where would I be without him? What a good boy. He is my battle buddy.
