Today Sam had his third and final lot of injections. It wasn't nice, he had to have three. Although he was very brave and only cried a little bit. Daddy came too which was nice - even though he has a 'needle phobia' haha

We're still living with my mum and we will be now for a bit longer since our leave date got pushed back to July 19th. Anyway, Sam got a door bouncer this week. He seems to quite like it but hasn't really got the hang of bouncing yet and just ...well...hangs there!!

The picture shows Sam and Daddy fast asleep aww

rainy Thursday

Just a quick update today, its rainy and horrible here. Sam and I are stuck inside being bored! Sam has started being VERY vocal all of the time. He makes a weird noise that sounds very similar to a pigeon haha! Bryan thought he was struggling for breath but its just a noise that he has decided is funny! The nights are still not so good. Last night he was up at 1am and 3am-NOT good! My mum says its cause he needs solids, im waiting until at least 5 months (so there mother haha!!) Sam is still gaining lots of weight and seems happy and content so he will not be having solids anytime soon! I have also read that there is no correlation betweena decrease in night waking and the introduction of solids. He will also not be having baby rice. It is fortified and lacks any real digestable nutrients. It has to have nutrients added so Sams 1st food will be something natural with no 'fortification'. Natural foods (avacado for example) are much easier for the baby to digest and get the maximum amount of nutrients and fatty acids from! where as baby rice is similar to fortified cardboard that is more difficult for babies to digest. Also avacado tastes more like breastmilk-so thats what he will have! yes, Im a 'tree-hugger mother' as Bryan calls me!! I keep telling Bryan I am going to breastfeed Sam until he is 10...that scares him too haha (dont be scared-I wont really, probably 1 1/2)

Sunday 8 June 2008

We went for a gorgeous picnic in a field full of buttercups with all of our baby club friends. It was a lovely sunny afternoon and it was lovely for Sam to chat to all his friends-even if he did manage to poo up the back of his vest and it spread all over his entire back LOVELY!! just what mummy needed during a relaxing afternoon! At least I have some bribery material for when Sam is older haha!!

4th June

Steve's birthday! As a celebration Sam had a bath in the kitchen sink haha! he loves the water although it was quite hard to hold onto him, he is so heavy and slippery! He has been very 'chatty' today screaching and cooing for most of the time he is awake!

Sam chatting to Binny-Bin

Here is Sam having a chat with Steve. He is SOOO vocal now screaching, and cooing all day (and all night last night!) he is still such a happy baby-crying for less than 5 minutes total per day. Everywhere we go I get stopped my people telling me how gorgeous he is. In Waitrose I was stopped twice! What can I say? I make beautiful babies haha! Sam went to his 1st party yesterday. My friend Annas little girl, Chloe was 1. It was lovely even if Sam did sleep through a lot of it!
